Pacific Rim Arts & Crafts Convertible Baby Crib with a Drop Side is hand crafted in Eugene, Oregon by woodworkers practicing their craft in the natural bounty of the American Northwest. Each crib is made of solid Western Maple for sturdy, sustainable construction. The elegant mortise & tenon design lends durability and cleverly hides all hardware. In every step of the way, from harvesting to constructing, every effort has been made to ensure that this crib comes to you with a tiny eco footprint.
Our convertible baby crib is available in your choice of unfinished or finished with 100% pure tung oil, linseed oil (from flax seeds), Varathane Interior (an oil based polyurethane used as a drying agent and for extra scratch guard, which is inter once dried. No off gassing occurs after that point.) Pacific Rim Arts & Crafts Baby Crib features a simple 3 step assembly, single sided drop-side, and dual action drop-side mechanism (simply push in with calf and pull up with hand). All Pacific Rim materials and workmanship are guaranteed to be free from defects.
This is a standard full size baby crib & fits a standard baby crib mattress. Our crib grows with your baby with the optional Youth Bed/Day Bed/Bench Converter Kit (Guardrail & Crossbar). Pacific Rim Crib Casters will allow you to easily move crib as needed and keep an eye on your baby. Sold in sets of four securely locking casters, measuring 1 7/8". Actual casters may differ from image.
NOTE: The sale of drop side cribs is not permitted in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania & Washington. Unfortunately this ban does not distinguish between mass produced, cheaply designed drop side cribs and sturdy, properly designed drop side cribs.

Pacific Rim Woodworking
Since 1981, Pacific Rim Woodworking has offered hand-crafted, solid maple furniture at affordable prices. We use Western Maple grown in managed forests in Washington and Oregon. To highlight the natural beauty of this distinctive hardwood, we hand-rub each piece with our own finish. Enduring quality and simple elegance are the hallmarks of our contemporary American style. More than twenty years later, Pacific Rim Woodworking continues to combine environmental concern with the personal touch only handcrafting can offer. Our furniture is built entirely in Eugene, Oregon and is guaranteed to be free of defects in both materials and workmanship.
Pacific Rim Woodworking's Commitment to Sustainability
Not only are we committed to providing a product that is made with minimal environmental impact but constructed to withstand generations of use. With its straightforward design and sturdy construction a significant contribution is made to the environment by limiting the use of untapped resources to create replacement products. We feel that it is not only important to use our resources wisely, but to practice conservation whenever possible.
The Western Maple used in our products is actually harvested as a secondary item during softwood harvests. Our hardwood supplier has received a certificate to sell “Chain of Custody” products under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) rules as administered by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) for their softwood harvests. While searching for more ways to reduce our impact, we believe this begins the process of insuring that a percentage of the forests are being managed with an eye to the future.
We strive to use every possible board foot of maple, donating the smallest off-fall to local schools and community centers for woodshop projects or low-income families for heat during the winter months. Recycling bins can be found in our offices, lunchroom and workshop. Our sawdust is recycled into compost at a local lawn and garden center. We have a strict maintenance schedule for our machinery to minimize replacement needs and often opt to fix a machine rather than replace it. In cases where replacement is necessary, we scour the secondary markets for the perfect “gently used” tool.
Today more than ever, humankind is realizing just how small and precious our planet is. Although there is much to be done, we are proud to play our small role. We are committed to finding harmony within our environment and securing the future of this unique planet called Earth. We hope you will join us.
