Our Amish Double Bow Bunk Bed is beautifully handcrafted by Amish craftsmen employing age-old practices with classic designs that stand the test of time.  Our furniture is made entirely of solid wood, harvested responsibly here in the USA. This Bunk Bed is handcrafted and hand assembled by skilled Amish craftsmen in Ohio. 

The Amish Double Bow Bunk Bed fits two standard size mattresses and has guardrails on both sides of the top bunk bed for ultimate security.  The mattress support slats are spaced approximately 1.5" apart, negating the need for a bunkie board or any other kind of mattress support.

Note about case goods:  This bunk bed is made of solid hardwood but the backs of optional case goods as well as drawer bottoms are made of 1/4" non toxic, formaldehyde free PureBond Plywood.  PureBond plywood is compliant with US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) standards, earning one point for LEED®'s EQ Credit 4.4 for Low Emitting Materials: Composite Wood.  PureBond Plywood also satisfies the emissions standards of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase 2 regulations, the highest standards in the United States.  Alternatively, case goods can be built entirely of solid wood; please contact us if interested.

Note: Given wood's natural beauty, our furniture looks great stained, finished, painted or "bare"; it's simply a matter of taste.  If you wish to paint your furniture we recommend Brown Maple, Cherry & QSWO; these wood species result in a smoother painted surface than Red Oak.  Please keep in mind that since wood is an organic material, its color & appearance can vary from batch to batch and from species to species depending on a wide range of factors, as determined by Mother Nature.  Furthermore, the appearance of the stain samples above may vary from one screen to another.
